Jessica is a photographer based in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her images transcend the moment with uncomplicated elegance, allowing their subtltey to reveal the character and story of the subject.
With a background in history and photojournalism, Jessica’s process is a balance of observation and contemplation. She develops a contextual understanding of her subjects before each shoot, embracing references that reflect contemporary conversations around culture and identity.
Deliberate in her practice, Jessica creates honest, intimate images that rely on gestures, color, form, and composition to heighten the nuances of people and landscapes. She specializes in catching unexpected moments as her subjects collaborate with the space around them.
In 2020 she was shortlisted for the Aperture Portfolio Prize and her work has been exhibited at The Museum of Contemporary Photography Chicago and The San Francisco International Airport Museum.
