Australian born still life photographer Nigel Cox started photography as a teenage hobby, which quickly developed into a nagging obsession. Nigel moved to New York City in 1999 to advance his career in both the editorial and advertising worlds, and currently lives with his wife and two young children in Brooklyn.
Nigel takes a fluid approach to his work, letting the formal qualities of an object drive the creative direction. Strong directional lighting, contrasting textures and bold angles are signatures of his work, which has been featured editorially in GQ, InStyle, Esquire, Dwell, Men's Health, Surface, Real Simple and Men's Journal as well as in advertisements for Haagen Dazs, Tanqueray, Samsung, American Airlines, Verizon, Smirnoff, Nike, Heineken and Bergdorf Goodman.
