SAM SPRATT FOR STREETEASY
Sam Spratt’s collaboration with StreetEasy, on their campaign in early 2020, had more of a lasting impact than he imagined. Streeteasy, a service to facilitate home rentals in New York City, was looking for a witty campaign that touched on New Yorker’s “perpetual hunt of looking for something more.” Seemingly basic home amenities (read: a dishwasher or a space that allows pets) have become the unironic object of desire. Spratt’s illustrations, with their pseudo-suggestive nature, capture the want for more (square footage or otherwise) while encapsulating the dystopian nature of New York real estate. See below for a look at the campaign and its placement throughout New York City.
