Samsung commissioned Sensorium to create this immersive VR jaunt along the French Riviera to introduce the groundbreaking possibilities of their Gear 360 camera during the 2016 Cannes Lions festival. Sensorium was a production partner of note during Samsung’s launch of the Gear 360 camera and helped Samsung display its dynamic shooting possibilities to social influencers and strategic media partners.
Of the many experiences produced for Samsung by Sensorium, The Samsung Cannes Lion experience was one the most technically ambitious as viewers were taken on a whirlwind visual journey via drone, yacht, motorbike, convertible, and remote-control car. Sensorium also pushed the limits of production design by shooting and delivering the experience over the course of a long weekend.
The experience was one of the highlights of the Samsung experiential center at Cannes Lion in 2016, where it was shown to visiting VIPs and Samsung executives. Sensorium delivered a mesmerizing VR take on the French Riviera and once again pushed the experiential boundaries of the medium through innovative uses of the Gear 360 camera
