Kate Darvill is a Contributing Fashion Editor at Vogue Australia. Darvill began her career as an Intern at Women’s Weekly Australia, where she was later offered the position of Fashion Assistant. From here she went on to become Fashion Editor at InStyle Australia before moving to New York, where she styled and assisted for international mastheads such as InStyle US, Teen Vogue US, Vogue Germany, Vogue Russia and the New York Times. Darvill later returned to Australia to fulfil the role of Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, where she remained for seven years before moving on to become Senior Fashion Editor for Vogue Australia in 2014.
Landing her first Vogue cover story with Mia Wasikowski and styling the likes of Kylie Minogue, Lorde and Rebel Wilson are amongst career highlights for Darvill. With 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, she is widely acknowledged for her calm, considered and unflappable demeanour. Darvill values the creative freedom that comes with her job and is driven by opportunities to collaborate and create beautiful imagery alongside her talented peers.
