JJ Chan is New York based prop stylist and set designer with roots in the Bay Area, California. JJ studied Visual Arts at Columbia University and their playful perspective in sculpture and video has been a large influence in their approach to styling. JJ developed their crafting and prop making bona-fides styling windows for Bergdorf Goodman. Working in a diverse creative team shaped their collaborative, hands-on sensibility to set design and art direction. JJ enjoys working at all scales and mediums for still life, set making, stop-motion, and video. Each project is an opportunity to approach with curiosity, detail, and play: from the luxurious, to the surreal, humorous, or conceptual. Besides styling, JJ enjoys Muay Thai, bad karaoke, and their birds Blanket and Rodrigo.
