Jacob Pritchard is an American photographer who began his career as a photojournalist, shooting for newspapers including the Pulitzer prize winning Rocky Mountain News before moving to New York where he photographed for the Village Voice.
In NYC, creatives in advertising found that his intimate connection with his subjects, and his storytelling approach translated well into commercial photography. Recently he has shot for brands including Verizon, JP Morgan Chase, Johnson & Johnson, TD Ameritrade, One World Trade Center, Panera Bread Co. and the New School.
Jacob’s background in media studies has led to a deep interest in the changing media landscape, and the strategic side of how brands can create images that make the most of digital and social platforms. On his blog he interviews some of the leading creatives, strategists and producers working in this area.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys traveling, and is an avid surfer and telemark skiier.
