    We Are The Rhoads for Converse One Star at Target

    We Are The Rhoads captured a guerrilla game of bowling – using a TriBeCa street as the alley – and a punk rock show in Dumbo for Converse One Star at Target's fall/winter campaign. "When Target collaborates with Converse, it's truly 50-50," explained Sarah Rhoads. "Both clients were on set and weighing in, and it created such a good vibe."  

    Art directors Sam Enz and Dave Swanson came up with the on-the-street bowling concept. "Using that idea, we gave the models jumping-off points and that's how we like to work, anyway – from an organic place," Sarah said. "We let spontaneous moments happen and we're right there with our cameras as part of the group." On the second day of the project, the team headed out to a Dumbo warehouse for more bowling, a concert, and fireworks. "It's not every day that you get to do all of this on a photo shoot," Sarah remarked.  

    She added: "We were recently walking into Target and didn't realize the ads were out ... and it's funny because it never gets old; it's always exciting to see our work."
