Bulwark, a manufacturer of flame-resistant apparel, commissioned Jeff Nishinaka to create a 3D paper sculpture installation of an industrial work site for a short film "451° Burn." The incredible industrial model was made solely out of paper during a period of several months measuring ten feet across and over 12 feet tall.
The installation featured oil derricks, exhaust manifolds, electrical switches and wires, and elaborate piping systems. A slow burning fire quickly spreads engulfing the entire paper installation in flames. The idea focuses on how delicate the relationship is between people and dangerous working environments. "Because People Aren't Fireproof."
