Hairstylist Miwako Urasugi always considers inclusivity when approaching her craft. She grew up in Kyoto, Japan and found that most salons and hairstyling techniques catered to those with straight hair. Miwako made sure to learn her styling techniques to include a wide range of styles and textures of hair.
Miwako’s career has taken her around the world. She has lived and worked in Tokyo, Amsterdam and now New York where she currently resides. Each project she works on is a synthesis of her creativity and expertise. She thrives in a collaborative environment with open communication and the opportunity to experiment creatively. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and making ceramics.
