Shotopop's Brain Installation Win Two Awards

Shotopop's intricate project for Alzheimer's awareness is the recipient of two recent awards. The project for Raum-D, a therapeutic studio for people with dementia, won Silver in the Exhibition Design category at the 2012 European Design Awards in Helsinki and Bronze in Graphic Design at the ADC Awards in Germany. Shotopop collaborated with Ogilvy & Mather D"usseldorf on the piece.

The concept was to the trace the memories of a patient and present them as a 3D model of a brain. Shotopop illustrated and laser-cut four layers of the brain featuring ninety-five individual memories. The installation brings to life a person's special moments from birth to old age. The piece was sent on tour around Germany to raise awareness for Raum-D and their work with dementia patients.
