Emma Pritchard Styles Robin Wright for Capitol File
Niche Media tapped Emma Pritchard to style Robin Wright for Capitol File's Spring Fashion Issue. "For each story, I put together a mood board, and Robin is so edgy and fresh that it felt like a black-and-white moment was appropriate," said Alexandria Geisler, associate fashion editor. "I got in touch with Emma and described the mood, which was her jumping off point, and from there, she called in the outfits on the runway reflecting the trend and brought them to set."
Keeping in mind that the actress wanted the wardrobe to differ from that of her "House of Cards" character, Claire Underwood's, Pritchard put her in a strapless Donna Karan dress for the cover, and selected garments like a Vera Wang silk chiffon gown and a Salvatore Ferragamo crew-neck shirt with whipstitch detail for the interior images. "Robin wasn't scared of wearing anything sheer or short or with slits; she was happy being in bare feet and a little freer, whereas Claire sticks to pencil skirts," Pritchard remarked. "She was so precise about what she wanted and the shoot became about the way she wore the clothes and how she moved in them."
Pritchard called the commission one of her favorites: "We got on really, really well and our visions were in sync." On a similar note, Geisler added, "I love working with Emma and everyone on my team tries to use her as much as possible. She has such a great attitude, is open to collaboration, and always makes the best pulls."
