3.81 Brings Your Favorite Kellogg's Characters to Life
If you eat cereal every day their mascots can become like family members. A morning meal each day with the same smiling faces forms a bond that can continue long into adulthood. Recognizing those same characters at the grocery store can, and does, inspire shoppers to bring them home again. They become a priceless marketing tool because of the connection between the consumer and the product, but the affinity that's nurtured in that relationship is as real as with any other character. Animation creative studio 3.81 had the opportunity to work with Kellogg’s and some of their most recognizable characters, bringing them to life in a series of new spots for one of their most fun giveaways.
Kellogg's is offering custom made cereal spoons as a way for consumers to visualize what their own personalized utensil would look like. Throughout multiple markets, including the UK, Spain, and Greece, 3.81 was on hand to spread the word by animating Kellogg’s mascots in the spots to sing and dance with one another. Snap, Crackle and Pop from Rice Krispies, Coco the Monkey from Coco Pops, and Pops from Honey Pops all dance alongside each other with glee (while Cornelius Rooster from Corn Flakes plays the spoons) singing the names that are available on their spoons. It’s an expansion of how we’ve come to care for these characters, and a lively reminder of what they can mean to us.
Check out the site, also built out by 3.81, and see what your own name looks like on one of these limited edition Kellogg’s spoons. There's even a cameo by Tony the Tiger! Great!
