Joey L. Hits the Mark with New National Geographic Campaign

National Geographic Channel enlisted Joey L. to help them navigate through the uncharted waters of their first originally scripted drama. “Killing Lincoln” is NG’s first feature film release based on Bill O’Reilly’s book by the same name. Joey L. came into the project via production company Variable, who asked him to help create promotional imagery for the movie. The promotion was a hybrid production of creating still photographs and a commercial for the film. To capture what they needed, Joey and Variable trekked south to Virginia.

Joey L. Captures Taboos for National Geographic Channel

Joey L. photographs cultural taboos for a new campaign for the National Geographic Channel. The campaign promotes the new season of the channel’s documentary series Taboo. The show explores customs or practices that are acceptable in some cultures but are forbidden, illegal, or shocking in others. The featured ad depicts “puppy play,” which involves subjects who enjoy dressing up as dogs and getting in touch with their deep animalistic instincts.
