Nick & Chloé photograph children dressed in creative costumes inspired by birds for Junior Magazine. The whimsical fashion spread for the magazine’s April issue features head and leg accessories crafted out of paper by La Creative Sweatshop. The inspiration behind the costumes was 80s futuristic design. The children are dressed as birds such as a pink flamingo, an owl, some finches, a parrot, and a crow. The simple backdrop allows the fashion and accessories to shine. Chloé says of the shoot, “The birds idea came out of a dream… both birds and kids awaits for the moment where they flap their wings and fly away.”

Mindi Smith styles the cover and an eight page spread in the May 2011 issue of Junior Magazine. The UK-based magazine covers fashion, entertainment, and education for parents and their children. The shoot is inspired by the street style blog “The Sartorialist” and shows the boys as if they had been stopped on the street while they were going about their day. Smith styled eight young boys in eight different looks. The boys wear brightly colored preppy blazers, stripes, and checks and each boy’s outfit is meant to reflect his personality. The models were captured in different backdrops on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
