The campaign was shot on location on the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

Entrants are judged based on originality of the creative idea and the quality of its execution. Stockton Johnson captures an active Ji Lili for the January 2012 issue of Vogue China. The fashion spread features the model in graphic sportswear and prints from brands like Celine, Alexander Wang, Ohne Titel, and Bottega Veneta, among others. Johnson shot the dynamic images in studio. The shoot was his sixth for Vogue China in the past year.

The sequel to Guy Ritchie’s successful Sherlock Holmes film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, opens tonight in midnight showings. Nels Israelson photographed the film’s stars for the worldwide campaign. Downey Jr. and Law reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Also featured are Noomi Rapace, as the Gypsy Sim, and Jared Harris, as Holmes’s nemesis Professor Moriarty, who joins the cast for the second film.
A&E brings to life the haunting world of Stephen King in an adaptation of the bestselling author’s Bag of Bones. The novel tells the story of a writer struggling with the death of his wife and the supernatural happenings in his hometown of Dark Score, Maine. To promote the two-night movie, A&E launched DarkScoreStories.com, an interactive website that features a photo-driven narrative of the troubled town. Joachim Ladefoged captured the images that tell the story of the town.
Every year, The Society of Illustrators honors the best achievements in illustration from the past year in an exhibition. B&A’s John Hendrix and Andrew Bannecker are among those selected this year for “Illustration 54: America’s Original Annual of Illustration.” The jury selected nine of Hendrix’s illustrations and eight of those will be exhibited across all the categories. Two of Bannecker’s illustrations were selected.

Nick & Chloe and FWY Studios work together to bring to life the colorful characters of Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Mini line for Target. The line caters to children, from infants to tweens, and features tutus, plaids, punk pants, and faux leather jackets. The collaborative effort between the B&A talents mixes photography and CGI to create a fun, colorful campaign. Nick & Chloe photographed the campaign on the streets of Tokyo’s Harajuku and Akihabara (“The Electric City”) districts. FWY Studios created the 3D CGI icons that appear in the print ads as well as the original Harajuku characters for the television spots.
Lounging in Mark Cunningham-designed AD Oasis@the Raleigh, 50 VIPs enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast and tasted 1800 Tequila Coleccion, a 400 limited edition extra añejo 100% agave tequila (guaranteed to allay any hangover) All set against the dramatic back drop of an exhibition of Kai and Sunny’s graphic, monochromatic “Flower Series.” Artists Gary Baseman and Vivian Rosenthal, Founder of Tronic Studio / augmented reality platform Goldrun, Kai and Sunny, and Product and Industrial designer Demian Repucci, explored the broad theme of “The Intersection of Art and Design” in a lively panel discussion chaired by Bernstein and Andriulli’s Louisa St.Pierre.
Mike Piscitelli has been busy recently with editorial and advertising photography. He captured the new campaign for the Converse for Target collection for Wieden +Kennedy in New York. The campaign features models in clothing and footwear from the collection. The shoot took place over two days in Brooklyn and Manhattan. He also recently photographed actress Aubrey Plaza for Oyster Magazine’s 95th issue. Piscitelli shot Plaza in black and white for an article on her work in television and film.
The Selby travels to Copenhagen to photograph Noma for the latest Edible Selby column for T Magazine. The restaurant focuses on abstract dishes and foraged ingredients and is owned and run by René Redzepi. Redzepi is famously free form in his approach to food and is often called the father of modern-day foraging. Noma has twice earned best restaurant in the world in San Pellegrino’s foodie poll.
Joel Micah Miller captures the sleek and sophisticated new Porsche 911 Carrera for the 2012 campaign. The campaign is currently airing in Germany and showcases the Porsche in a futuristic, yet natural environment. The car has undergone a nearly complete overhaul in terms of capability and performance.
