Bio: Joel Micah Miller grew up in Maryland and is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston MA and Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart, Germany. He assisted Germany's best advertising photographers parallel to studies. Miller's work has been featured in solo shows at Dandys, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kunste Stuttgart in 2008 and My Friendsters, Hochschule der Medien Galerie, 2006. Monumental can be seen in group exhibitions at Sony World Photography Awards - 2009 locations include: Cannes, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Toronto, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Geschossen und Gedruckt 2009 - Stadtischen Galerie Ludenscheid, Germany and Geschossen und Gedruckt 2009 - C/O Galerie, Berlin, Germany. Miller was also featured in the Best of German Photography - Xining International Photo Festival in Xining China in 2006. He is the recipient of numerous awards including ADC Young Guns 6, Adobe Design Achievement Award, World Photography Awards, PDN Photo Annual, PDN Self Promotion Awards, International Photography Awards, Geschossen und Gedruckt, Gruner & Jahr Photo Award, and Kodak Fotokalenderpreis. He now lives in Stuttgart, Germany.
