Jessie Ford
Bio: Jessie Ford is a UK based illustrator who lives on the South Coast. When not shooing away pesky seagulls, she can be found working and creating in her studio.
The Brighton based illustrator's work has a faux naive charm, that combines graphic shapes, textured layers and silhouetted figures to produce a silk-screen effect. Jessie loves all things bright, bold and graphic with a penchant for pattern and texture.
Recently Jessie has been working on illustrations for the writer and broadcaster Sophie Dahl's new website and has been working on animation character development for the BBC (UK). Her love of typography has expanded into other areas such as poster design and with the launch of her greetings card company in the Springtime of 2011 this is set to continue. Last year she exhibited in London's fashionable Carnaby Street, in the store Howies, where her murals also adorn the walls. Jessie has exhibited extensively throughout London, New York and Milan.
