Bio: Grace Mehan DeVito was trained in the technique and style of the Old Masters and has a deep appreciation and respect for the insight, power, and humanity of the classic academic approach. She is particularly aware of composition, the disposition of light and color, and the handling of space. On a deeper level, Grace strives to capture the essential dignity of her subjects and provide an insight into their unique human quality. Her goal is the demonstration of emotional truth in her portraits, to engender a relationship between the viewer and the subject. Grace received her B.F.A. from The School Of Visual Arts, New York City, studied at the Art Students League as well as private study with Laurel Stern Boeck.
